Deformation Analysis of Perforated Sheets using Computational Homogenization

چکیده

Introduction Perforated sheets are used in a number of industrial applications e.g. the shadow masks in colour monitor and television tubes. Their design requires the characterization of the deformation behaviour of a perforated sheet containing a large number of tiny holes. In practice, the holes are varying through the sheet thickness, however, in modelling this inhomogeneity is mostly ignored and the holes are assumed to be cylindirical. These models fail to describe the real deformation behaviour.
